Kobe Steel, Ltd. announces that it has been selected for the second consecutive year as a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series and the FTSE Blossom Japan Index, global environmental, social and governance (ESG) investment indices.
The FTSE4Good Index Series and the FTSE Blossom Japan Index are key ESG investment indices developed by FTSE Russell, a wholly owned subsidiary of London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). FTSR Russell surveys business enterprises around the world to select companies that demonstrate excellence in environmental, social, and governance practices. These indices are widely used in selecting companies for sustainable investment. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index, which measures the performance of Japanese companies in their environmental, social and governance practices, is one of the ESG investment indices adopted by Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world's largest public pension fund management organization.
