Kobe Steel to exhibit at CeBIT 2017, the world’s largest exhibition for B-to-B solutions

The Kobe Steel Group will participate in the Japan Pavilion hosted by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) at the CeBIT 2017 exhibition to be held from March 20 (Monday) for five days in Hannover, Germany.

CeBIT is the world's largest exhibition for information technology showcasing the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, artificial intelligence and robotics. Last year, the exhibition drew approximately 200,000 visitors from 100 countries and regions and 3,000 exhibitors from 70 countries and regions.

This year, Japan will serve as the official partner country of CeBIT for the first time, and 118 companies and organizations from Japan, including Kobe Steel, will take part in the event. The Japan Pavilion will be the largest-scale exhibition in the history of CeBIT, occupying in total 7,200 square meters of space. Based on the concept of Create a New World with Japan – Society 5.0, Another Perspective, the Japan Pavilion will consist of three zones: Life/Office/Society, Infrastructure/Factory, and Element. From infrastructure and the manufacturing scene at factories to everyday living and work styles, the Pavilion will introduce technologies that cross a wide range of fields, said JETRO.

In the Infrastructure/Factory Zone, the Kobe Steel Group will introduce its latest IoT solutions developed for welding systems, industrial machinery, construction machinery, and waste incineration power plants. Kobe Steel will also exhibit operation monitoring software that improves customers' productivity and provides useful functions for smart factories.
