Kobe Steel selects new representative directors

TOKYO, March 5, 2012 - Kobe Steel, Ltd. announces that at its board of directors' meeting held today, it decided to make the following changes in its representative directors.

New Representative Directors

New title	Executive Vice President & Representative Director from April 1
Area of responsibility	Head of the Aluminum & Copper Business (unchanged)

Jun Tanaka

Current title	Senior Managing Director
