Provision of Disaster Relief Payments for the Great East Japan Earthquake
November 1, 2011
Our hearts go out to all victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
SHINYOKAI is the domestic distribution and sales organization of the Kobe Steel Welding Business. Shinyokai is approaching its 60th anniversary this year, and positioned its commemorative sales campaign as a "Tohoku Recovery Support Campaign." This ran from this July through September.
It was decided that part of sales during this campaign period would be provided as a 25 million yen disaster relief payment to the Miyagi Occupational Training Support Center, of the Japan Organization for Employment of the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities and Job Seekers.
The disaster severely damaged the Miyagi Occupational Training Support Center, of the Japan Organization for Employment of the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities and Job Seekers. But it plans to temporarily restore operations in December in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture.
Our Welding Business studied with the aim of support by "contribution to recovery and reconstruction through welding." This Center plays an important role for Kobe Steel and our sales activities, including by SHINYOKAI. For example, it is a place that refines and strengthens Shinyokai's technical sales abilities. This is a reason it was decided to provide this support.
